Celestial navigation has never been easier with ezAlmanacOne! This tool, in combination with a sextant, allows users to master the art of finding their fix efficiently.

ezAlmanacOne represents an advancement from the iPad version of ezAlmanac, combining the user-friendly interface of the Windows 10 version. It includes all the existing features of ezAlmanac and introduces new functionalities such as:

 <li>Universal app compatibility with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and the latest MacBook featuring an M1 processor.</li>
 <li>Support for all device orientations with zoom and pan features across all screens.</li>
 <li>Capability to make bearing observations for compass checks.</li>
 <li>Archiving and restoring observation data along with saving observations.</li>
 <li>Inclusion of a quick start guide, usage examples, and comprehensive documentation for learning celestial navigation.</li>
 <li>Printing or outputting Nautical Almanac pages, observation reports, and other app-related documentation.</li>
</ul>

ezAlmanacOne guides users through celestial navigation in a traditional manner, providing all Nautical Almanac (1960-2059) and Pub. 229 tables as they appear in print. These tables are easily accessible for manual use, supporting zooming, panning, and highlighting for quick reference.

While offering a manual approach for enthusiasts, most users will appreciate the automated functions of ezAlmanacOne. Simply input basic sight parameters, record observations, and let ezAlmanacOne handle the rest. It performs all necessary corrections, identifies the GP of objects, conducts sight reduction processes, plots Lines of Position (LOPs), and visually displays intersecting LOPs to determine fixes accurately.

Besides aiding in fixing positions accurately, ezAlmanacOne excels in conducting compass checks by processing bearing observations from navigational bodies. This function accommodates multiple device checks from a single observation and generates detailed check reports for record-keeping purposes.

Celestial navigation instructors endorse ezAlmanacOne for its faithful adherence to traditional navigation techniques. Clear identification of values sourced from the Nautical Almanac and Pub. 229 makes referencing seamless. Additionally, the tool provides educational opportunities by linking identified values to relevant sections in instructional books.

For manual celestial navigation enthusiasts, ezAlmanacOne allows the generation and printing of Nautical Almanac pages as backup resources for voyages. Furthermore, users can print requisite sight reduction forms and plotting sheets directly from the application.

Powered by NOVAS 3.1 software from the US Naval Observatory (USNO) and a JPL ephemeris spanning from 1960 to 2059, ezAlmanacOne ensures precise astronomical calculations. Moreover, it integrates WMM-2020 software from NOAA to calculate magnetic declination autonomously, enabling full functionality without relying on internet connectivity.
